Henri-Lucien Cheffer

Henri-Lucien Cheffer (30 December 1880, Paris – 3 May 1957) was a French painter, engraver and illustrator.

[3] He also designed bank notes for French Algeria, Tunisia, the Netherlands and the Dutch East Indies.

He studied at the School of Decorative Arts, Paris, and in the studio of Léon Bonnat.

[6] Cheffer was a member of the Société des Artistes Français, where he exhibited exclusively.

[7] During the First World War, Cheffer produced many watercolors depicting scenes of battle and destruction.
