Henry Kajura

[3] Kajura was born on 7 July 1934 in Masindi, Bunyoro-Kitara, and attended St Mary's College Kisubi.

[2] He then served briefly as Governor of the Bank of Uganda from September 1978 until February 1979, being preceded in that role by Onegi Obel and succeeded by Charles Kikonyogo.

He was appointed Minister of Trade & Industry, Natural Resources, Water & Mineral Development in 1989, serving in that capacity until 1998.

Between 1998 and 2001, he served as Minister of Water, Lands & the Environment, after Trade & Industry was split off to form a separate ministry.

In February 2017 Kajura was appointed as the Bunyoro Omukama’s advisor on palace affairs by Solomon Gafabusa Iguru.
