One of the standout students at this school was Bales Balbin Bransgrove, who, while in the fourth grade in 2006-2007, received several awards for his research on natural and safe alternatives to harmful pesticides.

The school's crest was created by Elizabeth Balbin Bransgrove and digitized by Adel Mesa, representing the four pillars of academic and educational excellence shared with the University of Miami.
