Herálec (Havlíčkův Brod District)

Herálec is a municipality and village in Havlíčkův Brod District in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic.

Herálec consists of seven municipal parts (in brackets population according to the 2021 census):[2] The name is derived from the personal name Herhart.

The originally Renaissance castle was built in 1601 on the site of an old medieval fortress.

[8] Among the main landmarks of Herálec is the Church of Saint Bartholomew.

In Herálec is a valuable cemetery, which includes six tombstones from the times of the Napoleonic Wars.
