During the revolutionary uprising of 1401 in Iran, Heshmat Tabarzadi was arrested in his mother's house located in Golpayegan, a few days after Mehsa Amini's ascension, and he is still in exile in Isfahan Central Prison.
Heshmat Tabarzadi is accused of war, corruption in the land, cooperation with hostile countries against the Islamic Republic, seducing and inciting people to kill, colluding and insulting the leadership and several other cases.
[2] He was arrested and spent nine years in Evin Prison, including two in solitary confinement, for his activities as a student leader.
[3] Iranian law enforcement arrested Tabarzadi at his home on December 28, 2009, the day after the Ashura protests.
[1] Following the trial, three of Tabarzadi's lawyers were themselves sentenced to prison terms for opposition to the government: Nasrin Sotoudeh, Mohammad Oliyaeifard, and Khalil Bahramian.
