Hey Kandi... is the debut solo studio album by American singer Kandi Burruss, released by Columbia Records on September 19, 2000 (see 2000 in music) in North America.
Co-produced by Kandi and Kevin "She'kspere" Briggs, It debuted at number 72 on the US Billboard 200 and number 32 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop albums chart.
After Xscape disbanded in 1998, Burruss broke away from singing for a while and focused on writing songs for other artists.
In March 2000, Burruss was signed to Columbia Records, she began working on her debut album the same month with producer Kevin "She'kspere" Briggs.
After she finished the album in July, she released her first single "Don't Think I'm Not" the same month.
