Hidkal

Hidkal is a village in Belgaum district in the southern state of Karnataka, India.

The first phase of the irrigation project was intended to water around 45,000 hectares of land.

After the third phase, the project aims to irrigate 3.3 lakh hectares of land with a total capacity of 51.16 tmcft of water.

Every year, 2 tcmft of drinking water is released from Hidkal to Bagalkot.
