Hinnaard (Dutch: Hennaard) is a small village in Súdwest-Fryslân in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands.
[3] The village was first mentioned in 1319 as Hernawort, and means "terp on the corner".
[4] Hinnaard is a compact terp (artificial living hill) village.
Even though it is small, the grietenij (predecessor of a municipality) Hennaarderadeel was named after the village, and during the late middle ages it was the location for court cases.
The tower has a stone which states that the building was restored in 1731, however it probably belonged to the church.
