Honey Creek Township, Vigo County, Indiana

[2] It contains Terre Haute's main shopping district along U.S. Route 41 and is by far the most characteristically suburban of the twelve Vigo County townships.

The population includes inmates from the Terre Haute Federal Penitentiary, located at its northwest corner.

[2] The township contains these three cemeteries: Durham, Hull and Smith.

As of the census[3] of 2000, there were 14,280 people and 5,794 households residing in the township.

The racial makeup of the township was 86.4% White, 8.1% Black or African American, 0.3% Native American, 3.5% Asian, less than 0.1% Pacific Islander, 0.5% from other races, and 1.1% from two or more races.
