Horatio Townshend

Horatio Townshend (c. 1683 – 4 October 1751) was an English banker and politician who sat in the House of Commons between 1715 and 1734.

Townshend was Member of Parliament for Great Yarmouth from 1715 to 1722, in which year he became a director of the Bank of England.

He replaced Edward Bellamy as Governor and was succeeded by Bryan Benson.
