Horné Plachtince (Hungarian: Felsőpalojta) is a village and municipality in the Veľký Krtíš District of the Banská Bystrica Region of southern Slovakia.

It belonged to nobles Doboy, Daszcoy and Simonfy.

In 1776 it passed to ecclesiastical Rožňava’s Capitol.
