Hossam Mohamed El Badry (Arabic: حُسَام مُحَمَّد الْبَدْرِيّ; born 23 March 1960) is an Egyptian football coach and former player, currently managing Al-Zawraa.
After he retired from playing, El Badry began coaching football beginning at his former club Al Ahly.
[1] El Badry was appointed manager of the Egypt national football team in 2019.
[2] He led the team through a successful 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualification campaign,[3] but was replaced by Carlos Queiroz before the final tournament.
[5] Hossam defected from the club after it was taken over by Salem Al Shamsi and went on to coach the Egyptian national team until he was sacked in 2021 due to poor results.
