Snoy

The current descendants are titled Barons Snoy and of Oppuers.

Joost Snoy became after his marriage the first Lord of Oppuers.

His daughter Walburga Snoy inherited from her mother, Marie of Brimeu, the seigneurie of Poyelles (Poederlee).

During the 17th century, the family obtained political power and continued to intermarry with important houses.
