Mosby's father was employed as one of the first African American managers of the Federal Aviation Administration.
[3][4] Mosby graduated from Georgia State University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance.
Beginning his healthcare career in internal audit at the Grady Health System, Mosby quickly rose thru the managerial ranks and became Vice President of Faculty Contracts Administration in the Division of Medical Affairs at the major healthcare institution.
[12][13] In 2009, Mosby assumed the chairmanship of the DeKalb County delegation to the Georgia House of Representatives.
Rep. Mosby is also the past Treasurer of the National Black Caucus of State Legislators.
