Huazhou District

[1] The district spans an area of 1,127.9 square kilometres (435.5 sq mi), and has a population of about 324,300 as of 2012.

[3] During the Spring and Autumn period, the State of Qin established Zheng County [zh] in the area of present-day Huazhou.

[3] Early in the Yuan dynasty, Zheng County was merged into Hua Prefecture.

[6] Huazhou District has significant mineral deposits of molybdenum, gold, silver, iron, and granite.
