Hubert Douglas Delany

Delany, a Democrat is a U.S. Army sergeant who served as a photojournalist, a writer and, a mass communications specialist.

[3] His twice great-grandfather, Henry Beard Delany (1858—1928), was born enslaved, but became the first African American Bishop Suffragan of the Episcopal Church (United States).

Delany enlisted in the United States Army in August, 2015 and attended Basic Combat Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, and Advanced Individual Training at the Defense Information School in Fort Meade, Maryland.

[11][12] In 2019 Delany was assigned to The 8th Psychological Operations Group (Airborne), 1st Special Forces Command.

As a military journalist and communications specialist, Delany’s work has appeared in outlets such as CNBC, Aljazeera, Fox News, Newsweek, Reuters, Business Insider, Stars and Stripes, and the Washington Post.
