Hugo Björne

[1] Ernst Hugo Alexis Björne was born in Varberg in Halland, Sweden.

[2] [3] [4] He made his film acting debut in 1913, starring in silent movies.

He was quite productive, participating in more than 130 films where he often portrayed rather anonymous characters such as judges, professors and doctors.

[5] Hugo Björne was married to actress Gerda Lidholm (1891–1979) .

He died at Stockholm in 1966 and was buried at S:t Jörgens kyrkogård in Varberg.
