Hugo Lafayette "Hugh" Black III (July 15, 1953 – September 29, 2007) was an American lawyer.
Black served as a law clerk to Patrick Higginbotham of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
[1] Black worked at the law firm of Rosenfeld, Meyer & Susman as a partner from 1984 until he joined the entertainment division of Weissmann, Wolff, Bergman, Coleman & Silverman of Los Angeles in 1993.
He returned to Miami to work at the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida.
Black died unexpectedly at his home in Coconut Grove Florida on September 29, 2007, at the age of 54 from gastrointestinal bleeding.
