J. Taylor Finley Middle School serves students in grades 7 and 8.

Huntington High School serves students in grades 9 through 12.

The district is known for its diverse population and its broad-ranging academic and extracurricular programs, including widely recognized programs in the arts and athletics.

The district also features an expanding and inclusive science research program at Huntington High School,[3] which produced a Intel Science Talent Search winner in 2014.
