Captain Hussain Khan (Urdu: کیپٹن حسین خان) was a prominent Sudhan soldier who fought most notably in the First Kashmir War in the Battle of Rawalakot against the forces of the Princely State of Jammu and Kashmir.
[5] Sometime before the outbreak of armed resistance during the rebellion, Dogras were out plundering and pillaging the area, a band trespassed into Hussain Khan's home and stole one of his sheep.
Once the enlistment had completed, he had led some two hundred ex-servicemen to a nearby forest, he placed a copy of the Quran on the branch of a tree, and made them all pass beneath it, taking an oath of secrecy and sacrifice.
The Government of Azad Kashmir awarded him Fakhr-i-Kashmir posthumously on 27 March 1948, which is equivalent to Hilal-i-Jur'at.
