The project also included improvement of a 93.302 km section of the existing Ahmedabad – Vadodara Expressway (NE 1), on a Design Building Finance Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis.

The concession period of this project is 20 years from the appointed date, including 910 days of construction, creating smoother transit.
