Ian Mackay (footballer)

Ian Mackay Abad (born 14 July 1986) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Segunda División club Eldense.

[2][3] In January 2008, Mackay returned to Galicia, joining lowly SD Ciudad de Santiago[4] and helping to win promotion to the third division, with the club in a severe financial crisis.

He achieved promotion to Segunda División in his first season,[2] and played his first match in the competition on 28 August 2010 by starting in a 0–0 home draw against SD Huesca.

On 18 July 2011, he joined CE Sabadell FC also of the second tier,[8] serving as a backup to David de Navas during his only season.

[10] In October 2013, he joined Tercera División's CD Boiro,[11] but signed for Racing de Ferrol in April of the following year when their three goalkeepers were injured.
