Icard (/ˈaɪkərd/ EYE-kurd)[4] is a census-designated place (CDP) in Burke County, North Carolina, United States.

[5] As of the 2020 United States census, there were 2,452 people, 929 households, and 673 families residing in the CDP.

As of the census[3] of 2000, there were 2,734 people, 1,121 households, and 784 families residing in the CDP.

26.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

The town is served by the Burke County Public Schools system.
