Inderøy District Court

It had jurisdiction over the municipalities of Steinkjer, Inderøy, Snåsa, Mosvik, Verran, and Namdalseid.

Despite being named "Inderøy", the court was actually located in the neighboring Steinkjer Municipality.

Its judicial duties were mainly to settle criminal cases and to resolve civil litigation as well as bankruptcy.

[3] It is not known where the court met until 1792, when it used the Bjørken Store farm near Gangstadhaugen in present-day Inderøy Municipality.

In 1997, a new, separate building was built for the court, located next door to the County Governor's office.
