In the 2022-2023 academic year, a non-residential-only program for high school sophomores was added.

The application process includes providing student information, an essay, and various short answer questions.

[7] The Academy's athletes participate in sports with the teams of Burris Laboratory School.

Alumni include prominent doctors, surgeons, lawyers, teachers, professors, writers, and engineers.
