Inman, Kansas

Inman is a city in McPherson County, Kansas, United States.

In 1803, most of modern Kansas was secured by the United States as part of the Louisiana Purchase.

[5] In 1887, the Chicago, Kansas and Nebraska Railway built a main line from Herington through Inman to Pratt.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.59 square miles (1.53 km2), all of it land.

[7] The climate in this area is characterized by hot, humid summers and generally mild to cool winters.

[8] The 2020 United States census counted 1,341 people, 528 households, and 329 families in Inman.

There were 580 housing units at an average density of 753.2 per square mile (290.8/km2).

There were 566 housing units at an average density of 959.3 per square mile (370.4/km2).

30.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 21.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

The community is served by Inman USD 448 public school district.
