In late 2021, Iowa Western's trustees approved a new campus to serve students in adjacent Harrison County through a new career academy in Missouri Valley.

[3] IWCC hosts college/alternative radio station 89.7 The River, which serves the entire Omaha metropolitan area.

Combined, Iowa Western men's and women's athletic teams have 18 NJCAA National Championships between them.

[10] The Competitive Dance Team has won three national championships, the 2023 Open Pom and the 2024 Jazz & Hip-Hop titles.
