Irène (Camille Verhœven Trilogy #1) is a crime novel written by French novelist Pierre Lemaitre.
The novel, though originally published in French in 2006, came to be translated into English by Frank Wynne[1] in 2014.
It is the first book in the Camille Verhœven series by order of publication but the second to be translated in English after Alex.
Commandant Verhœven is happily married, expecting his first child with his lovely wife Irène.
With time running out, Verhœven realizes that all along he has been the unwitting dupe in The Novelist's plans to create an original work of his own.
