Irish America is a bi-monthly periodical that aims to cover topics relevant to the Irish in North America including a range of political, economic, social, and cultural themes.
[2] Irish America focuses on political and business leaders, organizations, artists, writers and community figures among the Irish in America through its annual lists, awards, and events including the Wall Street 50, Business 100, and Stars of the South.
Irish America's primary goals are to emphasize the achievements of Irish Americans in each bi-monthly issue, such as former U.S. president Bill Clinton,[3] former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton,[4] former president of Coca-Cola and chairman of Allen & Company Donald R. Keough,[5] comedian Kathy Griffin,[6] film actress Maureen O'Hara,[7] political commentators Chris Matthews[8] and Bill O'Reilly,[9] California governor Jerry Brown,[10] and TiVo Corporation co-founder John O. Ryan.

[15] From 2006 to 2011, Irish America magazine also honored the southern United States with the Stars of the South award.
