"Izzy" Ramsey is an American lawyer who served as United States attorney for the Northern District of California from March 2023 to February 2025.

His father, Henry B. Ramsey Jr., was the first African American to lead the district attorney's office of Contra Costa County.

[3][4] In 1996 and 1997, Ramsey served as a law clerk for Judge Harry T. Edwards of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.

Between undergraduate university and law school, he served for three years in the United States Air Force.

[6] On November 29, 2022, President Joe Biden nominated Ramsey to be the United States attorney for the Northern District of California.
