[4][5] In June 1718, Teach ran his flagship, the Queen Anne's Revenge, aground at Beaufort Inlet, North Carolina.

Teach, Hands and Stede Bonnet took approximately half the pirates, marooning the rest, and set sail for Ocracoke.
