Iveyville is an unincorporated community or ghost town[2] in Adams County, Iowa, United States.
[2] The community was named for B.F. Ivey, who lived in nearby Corning before relocating to Iveyville.
[3] Iveyville, located in Jasper Township,[2] was described as a "prosperous village",[4] with a woodmen's hall and the Farmers Creamery in the late 1800s.
The community also had a town hall on the second floor of the store, as well as a blacksmith shop and a grist mill.
[3] Iveyville's population was 46 in 1902,[7] but the closure of the post office in the community "finished" the village, according to a news story in the Adams County Free Press.
