Jörg-Peter Weigle (born 1953, in Greifswald), is a German conductor and music professor.
From 1973 to 1978, he studied at the Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" in Berlin, where his teachers included Horst Förster (conducting), Dietrich Knothe (choral conducting) and Ruth Zechlin (counterpoint).
He conducted world premieres, including Georg Katzer's opera Antigone oder die Stadt.
[3] Since 2001, Weigle has been a professor of choral conducting at the Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler".
[2] Weigle received the Sächsische Verfassungsmedaille on 26 May 1997 from Erich Iltgen, president of the Saxon Landtag.
