In foot orienteering he has obtained one individual silver medal at the world championships.

[1] Competing at the 2021 World Ski Orienteering Championships he won a gold medal in the middel distance,[2] and a bronze medal in sprint behind Vladislav Kiselev and Audun Heimdal.

[3] Af the 2022 World Ski Orienteering Championships in Kemi-Keminmaa, he won a gold medal in the pursuit.

[4] He won the gold medal in pursuit,[5] as well as in the middle distance,[6] and a gold medal in the mixed relay along with Anna Ulvensøen [no].

[7][8] Competing at the 2024 World Orienteering Championships in Edinburgh, Baklid won a silver medal in the knockout sprint, behind winner Riccardo Rancan.
