Jackson played college football for the Florida Gators, and earned consensus All-American honors in 1994.
Thereafter, he played professionally for the Chicago Bears of the NFL, and also the Orlando Predators, Carolina Cobras and Florida Bobcats of the AFL.
He was chosen by the Chicago Bears in the fourth round (116th pick overall) of the 1995 NFL draft.
