Jacksonville (also known as Kent[1]) is a census-designated place (CDP) in Indiana County, Pennsylvania, United States.
It was formerly an independent borough, until January 1, 1993, when it was returned to Black Lick Township, Pennsylvania.
As of the census[4] of 2000, there were 675 people, 300 households, and 186 families residing in the CDP.
There were 331 housing units at an average density of 49.0 per square mile (18.9/km2).
34.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 19.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
