Jacob Hollander

Jacob Harry Hollander (1871–1940) was an American economist.

He graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a BA in 1891, and a PhD in 1894.

US President McKinley named him Treasurer of the island of Puerto Rico in 1900.

He was special commissioner to investigate financial conditions in San Domingo and until 1908 was financial advisor of the Dominican Republic.

He also initiated a famous series of Reprints of Economic Tracts in 1903.
