Jafar Hassan (Arabic: جعفر حسان; born 1968) is a Jordanian official who has served as the prime minister of Jordan since 2024.
[4] After joining Jordan's foreign service in 1991, he was posted abroad to Washington D.C. and Geneva.
In 2018, he was appointed deputy prime minister for economic affairs, and tasked with implementing reforms to cutting public debt.
[7] He was reappointed as Director of The Office of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein in May of 2021.
On September 15, 2024, King Abdullah II appointed Hassan as Jordan's new prime minister.
