Jacob Ben Richards (born 5 July 1989) [1] is a British Labour Party politician who has served as Member of Parliament for Rother Valley since 2024.

[6] Following his undergraduate studies, he completed the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) at City, University of London.

[11] Richards is a co-sponsor of Kim Leadbeater's Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill on assisted suicide.

[13] Richard's sister is a Special Advisor (SpAd) to the current Home Secretary, Yvette Cooper MP.

Additionally, his brother in law is Gregor Poynton MP, Member of Parliament for Livingston [citation needed].
