James Edward DeGrange Sr. (born September 24, 1949) is an American politician from Maryland and a member of the Democratic Party.

DeGrange was born in Baltimore, Maryland, but grew up in Anne Arundel County.

He graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1968 and attended Anne Arundel Community College.

DeGrange's political career began with his service on the Maryland Lottery Commission, on which he served from 1991 to 1999.

After one term on the council, he ran for and won the district 32 seat in the State Senate.
