James Herbert (1660–1704), of Tythrop House, Kingsey, Buckinghamshire, was an English politician.

He was a Member (MP) of the Parliament of England for Queenborough in the periods 14 April 1677 – 8 January 1681 and 1689–1690, for Westbury from 1685 to 1687, and for Aylesbury in 1695 – 11 November 1704.
