James Juvenal

Juvenal began rowing when he was 19 years old and won his first race in 1893.

[1] He won the Middle States regatta in Scranton, Pennsylvania rowing in an aluminum shell which was reportedly the first time this type of boat was used in competition.

Four years later, he won the silver medal in the single sculls.

[2] He died on September 1, 1942,[3] and was interred at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Philadelphia.
