Menendez is one of the main presenters of Newshour on the BBC World Service.
[1] In 2004, Menendez moved back to London, as an occasional presenter on Newshour and The World Today.

In 2017, a live interview he was conducting remotely on BBC World News with Robert Kelly at home went viral after the interviewee's children burst into the room and started dancing, before being removed on camera by their mother.
