[1][2] She was previously the Provost and Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nottingham[3] and had served as the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Bristol in 2019.
[6] Norman was Regius Chair of obstetrics and gynaecology at the University of Glasgow and Head of the Section of Reproductive and Maternal Medicine from 2006.
[7] In 2008, she became Professor of Maternal and Fetal Health at the University of Edinburgh and Director of the Edinburgh Tommy's Centre for maternal and fetal health research.
[6] Her research focusses on the pregnancy “stressors” of obesity, maternal depression/stress, inflammation and hypoxia.
[8] She previously maintained a clinical practice as a Consultant Obstetrician at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
