He is currently teamed with Esapekka Lappi and is competing for Hyundai Shell Mobis WRT in the World Rally Championship.

He only lasted at Ford until the end of the 2021 World Rally Championship season, as in 2022 Janne and Lappi partnered at Toyota again.
