Jasenovo, Slovakia

Jasenovo (Hungarian: Turócjeszenő, until 1899 Jaszenova) is a village and municipality in Turčianske Teplice District in the Žilina Region of northern central Slovakia.

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1495.

Before the establishment of independent Czechoslovakia in 1918, it was part of Turóc County within the Kingdom of Hungary.

The municipality lies at an altitude of 550 metres and covers an area of 8.333 km2 (3 sq mi).
