Jay Bergman (baseball)

Jay Bergman (born February 6, 1939) is an American former college baseball coach.

The baseball stadium on the campus of the University of Central Florida was named Jay Bergman Field from 2001 to 2016.

[1] In 1982, Bergman was fired as head coach at the University of Florida for violating Southeastern Conference rules and trying to conceal it.

[3] Bergman was forced out at UCF with 10 games left in the 2008 season after being accused of harassing an equipment manager.
