Jean-François Lamour

Jean-François Lamour (born 2 February 1956 in Paris) is a French former fencer and current politician and cabinet minister.

During his fencing career, Lamour achieved various athletic accomplishments, notably qualifying for the 1987 world championship.

[1][2] After retiring from fencing, Lamour entered politics and served as the sports and youth counselor to the Mayor of Paris from 1993 to 1995.

Four years subsequent to that achievement, in 1975, Lamour advanced to the semifinals during the World Championship, which took place in Bucharest.

Under the guidance of his new coach, László Szepesi, who hails from Hungary, Lamour underwent further training as a part of the French national team.
