Jean-Paul Huchon

Jean-Paul Huchon (French pronunciation: [ʒɑ̃ pɔl yʃɔ̃]; born 29 July 1946) is a French retired civil servant and politician of the Socialist Party (PS) who served as Mayor of Conflans-Sainte-Honorine from 1994 to 2001 and President of the Regional Council of Île-de-France from 1998 until 2015.

Huchon graduated from Sciences Po in 1967 and from the École nationale d'administration in 1971.

[1] In 2004, Huchon served as the vice president of the bidding committee for the 2012 Summer Olympics.

[3] In 2007, Huchon was found guilty of illegal taking of interest together with his wife Dominique Le Texier in a case of public contracts awarded in 2002 and 2003.

He addressed world mayors and industry leaders on issues of eco-regions and governance in the 21st century.
