Jefferson is a town in Monroe County, Wisconsin, United States.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 34.9 square miles (90.3 km2), all of it land.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 800 people, 227 households, and 187 families residing in the town.

There were 236 housing units at an average density of 6.8 per square mile (2.6/km2).

15.0% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
